We recommend booking at least 2–4 weeks ahead for parties, and earlier for peak summer weekends or school events. Last-minute enquiries are welcome. Just get in touch and we'll do our best to help!

Yes, we paint children aged 3 and over, in line with insurance and health guidance. We never paint a child who doesn't want it, and we'll always check with parents or guardians first.

We use professional, vegan, cosmetic-grade, water-based paints that comply with UK/EU regulations. Any glitter used is biodegradable. We cannot paint over broken skin, active eczema, cold sores, conjunctivitis, or other contagious skin conditions. Please tell us about any allergies or sensitivities when you book so we can advise and plan accordingly.

Yes. Painted Panda holds public liability insurance. A copy of our insurance certificate is available on request.

Yes. On the day guests choose from our display board of popular designs, which keeps queues moving while still giving everyone something they love. If you'd like a custom design or theme, tell us when you book so we can practice it before the event. We won't paint custom designs on the day without having prepared them first.

Yes, weather permitting. If you need cover outdoors, we can bring our 3m x 3m gazebo for a small hire fee when agreed in advance. Alternatively, you can provide a marquee, shed, or other suitable cover. Face painting cannot take place in wet conditions, so if heavy rain is forecast a covered or indoor backup is still needed.

We typically paint around 10 faces per hour. Share your expected guest numbers when you enquire and we'll recommend the right booking length.

We need a small flat area for our table, chairs, and a short queue. We always bring our own table and chairs. If a gazebo is needed for your event, let us know when you book. Our gazebo is 3m x 3m, so please allow space for that. A small gazebo hire fee applies when we bring one.

Absolutely. Face painting isn't just for children. We regularly paint adults at festivals, corporate events, themed parties, and celebrations.

Not at the moment. We focus on face painting for now. If that changes we'll update the site, but we're not offering glitter tattoos currently.

We're based in Halesowen and travel up to around 1 hour away at no extra charge. Get in touch with your location and we'll confirm we can help.

To confirm your booking, we require a 50% payment by bank transfer. The remaining balance is due 7 days before your event, also by bank transfer. We'll send our bank details when you book. For pay-per-face events, payments are by card via SumUp only. We do not accept cash. Cancel up to 30 days before your event for a full refund of your deposit. Cancellations within 30 days are non-refundable.

Yes. A DBS check certificate is available on request, which is helpful for schools, nurseries, and organisations that need it for their records.
